Michael Ashworth
Mike Ashworth is head of Global Infrastructure Technology, JPMorgan Chase's central infrastructure organization, serving business and support groups firm-wide with approximately 5,800 staff resources and an annual expenditure of $2.4 billion.
Mike is responsible for enterprise hardware and software, global Command Centers and monitoring operations, all infrastructure technology products and services and all desktop, mainframe and help desks, as well as all utility and hardware infrastructure.
Previously, he was CIO of the JPMorgan Investment Bank technology organization for six years. During that time, he managed a global team to deliver technology software, systems and support to be a driver of growth and innovation for one of the industry's most successful Investment Banks.
Mike joined JPMorgan in London in 1986, as an application developer within Global Swaps. He went on to manage the Swap Derivatives systems team and application development and technology infrastructure for the Fixed Income business. Mike became Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Global Markets at JPMorgan in February 2000 and Investment Bank CTO in December 2000, following the merger of Chase and JPMorgan. He was named Chief Information Officer of IB Technology in 2002, when front and back office technology was combined.
Mike received his B.S. in Economics and Computing and Statistics from the University of Bath in the U.K
