John Smart

John joined NPower in 2008 as the Chief Administrative Officer, responsible for the business processes and administrative functions of the New York office and the development and tracking of the strategic business plan for the NPower network. John comes from Deloitte, where he served as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for their global network of member firms and implemented financial and operational identified optimal benchmark standards, reduced costs and led the successful execution of strategic initiatives. Prior to Deloitte, he was with AT&T in a variety of accounting, finance, and government affairs assignments in which he initiated regulatory reform and business process reengineering to reduce cost and improve operation results. John is from Arizona, and his telephone career included several stops, including Nevada, Colorado, and New York City before serving as the Finance Director for AT&T's International Operations Division in New Jersey.

John has a BSBA degree from the University of Arizona and a MBA degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. John and his wife Rosemary live in New Jersey and enjoy walking and jogging, travel, and taking advantage of all that New York City has to offer.
