Peter Gordon

National Director of Development

Peter J. Gordon joins NPower after a career spanning 25 years across many aspects of the technology industries with particular expertise in converged voice and data communications and network infrastructure.

Peter most recently was with Epsen Fuller/IMD International Search Group where he led the CIO Practice for the firm, acting as a strategic partner to client organizations, ranging from multinationals to start-ups, to find the most qualified leaders for businesses across a variety of industries, identifying and placing senior technology and operations executives.

Peter has held numerous operating roles at AT&T/Lucent Technologies. He was Vice President and General Manager, leading global engagement teams for some of AT&T's largest clients including Textron, Inc. and McGraw-Hill Companies, driving high-level enterprise negotiations with numerous CIO's, CFO's, and CEO's. Most recently, subsequent to the AT&T/SBC Communications merger, Peter drove the revenue acceleration efforts of the $6.5B Signature Client Group. Prior to that Peter was Executive Vice President of ION Networks, an integrated manufacturer of remote administrative management and secure access technology. Peter's career began in AT&T's Management Development program as an Operations Manager and progressed quickly to Network Engineering Manager, where he created the long-term strategy for the new AT&T network upon separation from the Bell system. He then moved to General Management roles directing the Global Services of Lucent through a period of rapid growth and universal market share. He was instrumental in leading the effort to establish a distinct corporate culture for Lucent as Director of Cultural Transformation, working with the President and other senior leaders of the unit and was accountable for several transformational human resources initiatives.

Peter is Past President of Clarkson University's Alumni Association, having graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Management. He also served as National Fund Chair, is a member of the Roundtable of donors and was awarded Clarkson's highest alumni honor when he was named Golden Knight in 2006. In addition, he is Treasurer of the Cedar Hill CDC which serves youth and families in Boonton, NJ. Peter resides in Morristown, NJ with his wife Debra and two children.
