As we celebrate Black History Month, this is the time for reflection, honor, and celebration as we recognize the significant contributions and sacrifices made by African American pioneers and look to the next generation of Black History Makers.

Honoring Veterans – On This Day And Every Day. This Veterans Day, we pause to express our deep gratitude and sincere appreciation to our nation’s service members for their brave and selfless service to our country.

The Gala Edition. Over 400 attendees from across the country joined together for a virtual evening of inspiring stories, powerful honorees, and incredible networking. Together, we raised over $1.6 million to create pathways to technology careers for veterans and young adults from underserved communities.

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! In this issue, we spotlight a Hispanic alumnus, Oscar Sosa. His story exemplifies the transformative effect of our program–even during a pandemic!

Last week, over 300 NPower graduates, supporters, staff, family and friends across the country gathered virtually to celebrate the “Go-Getters”, the class that saw a light at the end of a long-winding tunnel.

Every June presents us with the opportunity to grow as individuals, practitioners, professionals, and allies. Pride month helps us focus on learning more about ourselves, our families, and our community at large.

This month we celebrate Military Appreciation Month. It is an opportunity to acknowledge and honor the veterans, active-duty service members, reservists, guardsmen and women, and military spouses who serve our country with such courage and strength. To the men and women who sacrifice their time, energy, and lives to protect all of us and our freedom: a thank you does not seem sufficient enough.

This April, we celebrate National Volunteer Month and recognize the IT executives and professionals from across the country who engage with NPower students in high impact and meaningful events such as career coaching, mentoring, tech challenges, and more. We appreciate the individuals who give their time to transform the lives of deserving young adults, veterans or military spouses coming through the NPower program.

March is Women’s History Month. There have been many unbelievable achievements and advancements by women in every field and industry. Whether leaders, visionaries, activists, or technologists, when women are given the chance to lead, we often see positive results.
