Women of Color in Tech Day is a day of advocacy and awareness-raising to elevate Women of Color in tech, their contributions to the industry, and the need to inspire and support them to both pursue and sustain careers in tech. Since launching in 2020, NPower has received proclamations from the US House of Representatives, the New York State Assembly, New York State Senate, State of Maryland, State of Michigan, City of San Francisco, City of Dallas, City of New Orleans, City of San Jose and City of Newark, NJ.

Data makes the case for diversifying the tech workforce. Black, Latinx, and American Indian women hold 5% of tech jobs but represent 10% of the “tech skill-similar” workforce — working in roles that have the skills and knowledge commonly sought after in the tech sector. Join me in supporting @NPower’s #CommandShift Coalition in recognition of Women of Color in Tech Day 2023 to prioritize increasing and advancing women of color in tech.
